Dlangala is a wildlife Sanctuary loacted off the R56 in the Umkomaas Valley, they have recently constructed a Tourism Office to promote eco - tourism ventures in the Two Rivers and Sakabula Adventures area. It is strategically situated on the main arterial route between Pietermaritzburg and East Griqualand and Transkei, Umkomaas Valley is about one hour's drive from Durban, you will get a taste of true African bushveld, this wilderness is both malaria and crocodile free. Adventure activities form the main attraction to the Umkomaas Valley. Whitewater rafting, abseiling, rock climbing, tubing, hunting, 4 X 4 trails, walking trails, horse riding, fishing, game viewing (night drives) and excellent birding are all on offer in the Valley. For accommodation several rustic and comfortable bush and river camps are available at very reasonable rates.

Dlangala have established a wildlife orphanage where injured animals can be nurtured back to full health and released back into the wild. Within the Sanctuary visitors can go for walks and experience the silence of the bush whilst spotting and identifying the many and bird & tree species. Barbecue spots have been established for day visitors whom would like to enjoy a picnic out in the bush.

Water-Based Activities incluse Canoeing and Kayaking, Rafting Access to the river can be attained by visiting the Tourism Office. The section of river between number 8 and Saint Josephine's Bridge is ideal for training or having a bit of fun on the river. The rapids are fairly easy to negotiate and provide ideal rafting water for schoolchildren and those who want a pleasant trip.

The Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve is a must. Further south near Port Shepstone, the reserve boasts the highest gorge swing in the world, situated on top of the Lehrs Falls. It is an exhilarating and frightening experience and those who attempt it will know what a 100m (33-storey) drop is all about.

And the gorge swing is just one of the Wild 5, which include abseiling, white water rafting, the wild slide, a foofy-slide 160m above ground, and hiking and bike trails.
