That’s why the Ubizane Wildlife Reserve, situated in the heart of Zululand, and only a 2 hour drive from Durban, is the ideal setting for a picnic that will keep you content from start to finish.

This 1500 hectare Reserve, which is adjacent to the world renowned Hluhluwe Umfolozi Reserve, boasts over 350 species of bird life to marvel at, and a variety game including rhino, giraffe and wildebeest. A great spot for family and friends to relax and have a picnic of a life time? If not, the Krantzkloof Nature reserve offers extra-special views across a forested gorge cut by the Molweni River. What makes it even more special, the Krantzkloof Nature reserve's with its 532 hectares, is well-covered by dense forest and vegetation, so expect to have more than you can handle when comes to panoramic views.

Find the Reserve’s well-developed picnic area that lies adjacent to the dam at the head of Kloof Falls. You can reach this spot easily by car just by following the Kloof Falls road. As you leave this picturesque picnic site, proceed to Bridle Road and enjoy spectacular views from two well marked view sites. Walking trails originate from the picnic areas, whilst visitors may view the falls or descend into the gorge, depending on their preference. Have a picnic ball!
