Durban Beaches

Yay!!!! Thesun is shining super bright and you are in the mood for a great day at the beach...but [shock, horror] what will they be like? Bloody marvellous I tell you!!!!Durban has a beach 'rep' to protect, the beaches have loads of devoted followers, sunbathers and surf fans which it would never dream of letting down. So pack that picnic basket ,bring out the beach bats, hats, caps and dont forget the sunscreen, and for those of you who wish to catch up on some reading a book or magazine would not go amiss.

Durban beachfront has been praised as South Africas 'Miami Beach'. You will be greeted by soft, golden sands, Palm trees and the warm water provided by the Indian Ocean. In terms of safety one need'nt worry to much on the main beaches as they are shark netted and have the lifeguards watchful eyes zoned from sunrise to sunset. There are also shower and changing facilities as well as the promenade offering loads of great restaurants when the lunch craving kicks in.

For those of us who crave a little quiet time you will be able to find remote beaches along the coast, however these beaches are not patrolled.Durban’s beaches stretch in a long line from Addington Beach to Country Club Beach. The Bay of Plenty is a surfers favourite. Even in winter the sea temperature rarely drops below 17º C.

What are you waiting for?pack that bag and get going!But...dont forget your sunscreen.
