Ragged Tooth Shark Speciality
This course, in conjunction with SHARKLIFE, is designed to introduce divers to the Ragged tooth (Raggie) shark species and to help the student diver develop an understanding and knowledge of Ragged tooth shark biology and behaviour, as well as learn techniques for responsible diving with Ragged tooth sharks.
This course includes:
Ragged tooth shark distribution and habitats
Ragged tooth shark biology & behaviour
Highlights the global threats to ragged tooth sharks
Enables the diver to plan, organise and execute 2 dives with Raggies in a confident and passive manner
A shark conservation section and highlights the importance of personal involvement in preserving the aquatic environment
Course requirement:
PADI Advanced diver or an equivalent rating.
Habitats of Whale Sharks
We will be dealing specifically with the Ragged tooth shark populations that visit the Aliwal Shoal, Sodwana Bay & Rocktail Bay regions.
Whale Shark Speciality
This course, in conjunction with SHARKLIFE is designed to introduce divers and non divers to the Whale Shark species and to help develop an understanding and knowledge of Whale Shark biology and behaviour. It is also a learning tool to educate on techniques for diving & snorkelling with Whale Sharks. Furthermore, it is to educate on the global threats facing sharks, to overview the importance of sharks and their conservation and to give insight into local research efforts.
Habitats of Whale Sharks
In Southern Africa Whale sharks have been recorded as far south as Cape Town and as far north as the Red Sea. Sightings are excellent in the summer months, when the plankton is richest, along the entire KwaZulu-Natal coastline, including areas Aliwal Shoal, Sodwana Bay, Rocktail Bay.
Tiger Shark Speciality
This course, in conjunction with SHARKLIFE is designed to introduce divers to the Tiger Shark species and to help the student diver develop an understanding and knowledge of Tiger shark biology and behaviour, as well as learn techniques for diving with Tiger sharks.
This course includes:

Habitits of Tiger Sharks
Along the South African coastline tiger sharks can be found from Kosi Bay, in northern KwaZulu-Natal down to Port Elizabeth. Aliwal Shoal on the East Coast of KwaZulu-Natal appears to have a high concentration of tiger sharks.
Bull / Zambezi Shark Speciality
This course, in conjunction with SHARKLIFE is designed to introduce divers to the Bull Shark species and to help the student diver develop an understanding and knowledge of Bull shark biology and behaviour, as well as learn techniques for diving with Bull sharks.

Habitats of Bull / Zambezi Sharks
Protea Banks - KZN South Coast
Is situated 8km's offshore of Shelly Beach on the lower KZN south coast. This reef area is heavily fished by both recreational and commercial fishermen. Divers have noted a marked drop in shark and fish numbers over the past decade.
Blacktip Shark Speciality
This course, in conjunction with SHARKLIFE is designed to introduce divers to the Blacktip Shark species and to help the student diver develop an understanding and knowledge of Blacktip shark biology and behaviour, as well as learn techniques for diving with Blacktip sharks.

Habitats of Blacktip Sharks
Blacktip sharks can regularly be seen on Aliwal Shoal and Protea Banks on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast.
