The Allure is the primary boat, which is a top of the range 42' Bertram Sports Fisher which affords a smooth and powerful ride in the comfort of a fitted lounge and galley with a sleeping cabin for those that want to take a nap on the journey to, or from, the fishing grounds. The boat also has a fully functional toilet. Allure's luxuries include air conditioning, piped music, a plasma screen TV, a DVD, fully equipped galley with microwave, fridge and cutlery. So just relax and enjoy! Pescador, our secondary vessel, is a 28' Buttcat equipped for bottom fishing that provides the more basic experience for deep sea fishing. The boat can comfortably accommodate a party of 8, with open decks and the space to catch the large fish that we hunt. Fishing is one of the oldest sports that still calls on the instincts of the hunter/gatherer. With two boats, Allure charters can hunt not just smaller game fish such as Dorado (Dolphin Fish), Tuna and stripeys but also the big game, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sharks, Billfish and Swordfish.

In the old days, it was up to the Skipper's knowledge of his hunting grounds and basically his "nose for fish". Today he's helped with tested electronics such as fish finders but those old instincts and experience still pay off in hooking and landing the big fish.

There are tried and tested techniques designed to optimise the hunt for your quarry.

This is for hunting the big game fish such as Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sharks, Billfish and Swordfish. This uses lure designed to look like squid, which are a great favourite of Marlin. The rods are cast and then its waiting for the moment.

This is a further enticement to draw the big game fish. We basically scatter pieces of bait fish in our wake to draw the Game fish onto the lures.

The skipper and his crew are well versed and trained for this moment. There's a big difference between nibbling and taking the bait. He knows by watching the reel and if its just a nibble, he'll make sure the quarry remains astern by manouvering the boat. Time for you to get ready.

It's time to strap in and wait for the strike. When it happens, you're in for the ride of you life. You've now got a game fish, probably twice your body weight, in his element determined to get away. If you've never fought, or boated, a game fish before listen to the skipper. He's boated monsters. He'll tell you when to fight and when to let the game fish run. The objective over the next few hours is to exhaust him before he exhausts you. Even now when he's exhausted and spent, he can still slip the hook or break the line. If you are just tagging and releasing then you'll bring him along side and let the crew do their work. If he's a trophy then you have to bring this monster on board.
