We will take you on the expedition of a life time into the heart of the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, South Africa. We operate horse safaris within the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, South Africa. The spectacular diversity of the park includes open seas, reefs, pristine beaches, forests, savannas, lakes, rivers and mountains and supports a wide range of flora and fauna. The coastal dunes are among the tallest forested dunes in the world.

Great sightings of hippos, white and black rhino, crocodile, buffalo and maybe elephant, cheetah and leopard. There is a large variety of antelope species and the park is famous for its prolific birdlife. The horses are mainly South African Boerperd, a strong, brave and sensitive horse, ideally suited for riding in the bush. We have a variety of horses and each rider will be carefully matched to their mount to ensure whatever your experience you can enjoy this safari adventure.

OVERNIGHT TRAILS

Day One:

Join us in St Lucia for an afternoon ride along the Eastern Shores of The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park. As we arrive at Catalina Bay enjoy a spectacular sunset. We will spend the night at Catalina Bay campsite which is situated on the shores of Lake St Lucia. Enjoy a braai under the stars before spending the evening relaxing around the campfire and enjoying the sounds of the African bush at night.

Day Two:

An early morning ride, with a light breakfast before we ride up into some of the highest vegetated sand dunes in the world for breathtaking views. We will arrive back in St Lucia late morning.

TWO NIGHT TRAIL

Day One:

Meet in St Lucia and we will enjoy a late afternoon ride along some of the most beautiful beaches in Kwa Zulu Natal. Night one will be spent at Ipiva campsite.

Day Two:

Early morning coffee and rusks before we ride North into the reserve towards Catalina Bay. We will arrive in camp for a delicous brunch and you can spend the afternoon relaxing around camp or birdwatching on the shores of Lake St Lucia. Your second night will be spent at Catalina Bay where you may enjoy sundowners on the shores of Lake St Lucia whilst watching a spectacular sunset before a delicous dinner under the stars.

Day Three:

A light breakfast before we ride into some of the highest sand dunes in the world for spectacular views and the head back South towards St Lucia. You will arrive back in St Lucia late morning.

WILDERNESS RIDE

Day One:

We will meet at Catalina Bay early afternoon and ride North towards Jubangoma camp. This trail takes us along the Eastern Shores and provides excellent game viewing opportunities. We will arrive in camp in time for sundowners before a delicious meal in the middle of the wilderness.

Day Two:

Early morning rusks and coffee before we ride North into the wilderness area, which is home to the endangered, black rhino. A delicious brunch when we arrive back at camp. Spend the afternoon relaxing in this beautiful setting before dinner around the campfire.

Day Three:

A light breakfast before we pack up and head South back to Catalina Bay.

FOUR NIGHT TRAIL

Day One:

Join in St Lucia for late afternoon beach ride. We will spend the first night at Ipiva Camp, enjoy a delicious dinner before heading off into the reserve for a night drive.

Day Two:

Up bright and early for coffee and rusks before we ride North along the Eastern Shores of The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park. We will arrive at Catalina Bay in time for brunch and then spend the afternoon relaxing around the camp site. Enjoy sundowners whilst watching a spectacular sunset on the shores of Lake St Lucia, and then dinner around the campfire.

Day Three:

Early morning rusks and coffee before riding North towards Jubangoma camp. Arrive in time for brunch and spend the afternoon relaxing around this beautiful camp set in the wilderness area of the park.

Day Four:

Early morning rusks and coffee before riding South towards Catalina Bay. You can enjoy brunch when we arrive at the camp and then spend the afternoon relaxing or birdwatching on the lakeshore.

Day Five:

Enjoy a relaxed morning with a light breakfast. We will take you into some of the highest vegetated sand dunes in world to experience breathtaking views, before we continue our ride South back towards St Lucia and civilisation. Arrive back in St Lucia early afternoon.
