Wellvale Private River Resort, a top class eco-tourism hideaway, is bordered by the Mvoti River and boasts spectacular views of the Nsikeni Mountain. Situated in the popular Dolphin Coast region, Wellvale is only a short drive from Durban's King Shaka International Airport and perfectly located for day trips to some of South Africa's finest beaches.

Prepare yourselves for a complete different and exiting experience!

Accommodation is provided in luxury African rondavels along the river with outdoor showers and king-sized beds, or in our family room which can sleep four people comfortably. We also have three shaded campsites and self-catering facilities for the more adventurous.

Meals are served on our terrace where you can enjoy the bird song of the many different species resident at Wellvale while taking in the view of the mountains. After dinner you can relax in our fully-stocked, cosy bar, or pull up a chair beside the outdoor pit fire and enjoy a night-cap.

As supporters of eco-friendly tourism we run our resort with the environment and local community in mind. You are welcome to visit some of the projects that we facilitate in the area, including an after schools club for local children and a soccer training initiative.

Wellvale River Resort is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed retreat, while still being well-placed to explore the beautiful Dolphin Coast.

6 km outside Stanger you go left to Fawsley Park.
Follow this road for 5 km you hit a T - junction end go right, this is the D 415.
There is a small school on your right hand and a white painted stone with an arrow on it pointed to the right.
Follow this road for 7,8 km exactly ( a small tip put your day km meter on 0).
After 2.6 km you pass a white tractor tire on your right hand.
5.9 km a bend to the left with a exit to the right, keep left here is also a white painted rock with a arrow on it.
