Three Lodges in Sodwana Bay

Three privately owned luxury lodges, (two sleeping eight each, one sleeping

ten), within the famous three star Sodwana Bay Lodge complex, on the

Elephant Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, where, in the warm sub-tropical winter

months, the sea temperature never falls below 19 degrees centigrade.

Located within a private, security guarded complex with its own electrical

generators, gas and water supplies, in an idyllic and unspoilt location

overlooking Lake Shazibe. Ancient wooded sand-dunes separate the lake

from the beach, with its miles of soft, golden surf-lined beaches.

Sodwana Bay lies within the Isimangaliso Wetland and Marine World Heritage

National Park. It is famous for its scuba diving and its wide diversity of

spectacular coral reefs. Whale sharks, ragged tooth sharks, leatherback

turtles, giant manta rays, humpback whales, dolphin and a huge variety of

fish all form part of the outstanding diving experience. A Five Star PADI dive

shop is in the complex with all equipment and instructors available for hire, for

novices and experienced divers alike.

Deep sea fishing charters, bird-spotting, game drives to three major game

reserves, micro-light flights, kite-boarding, surfing, quad-biking and horse

riding trails are other activities on offer.

A good supermarket is easily reached in Mbazwana, for those self-catering.

Good restaurants locally, bar and pool in complex.

Sodwana Bay is easily drivable by family car but a 4x4 is preferable if off-

roading. It is an easy four hour drive from Durban or a seven hour drive from

Johannesburg. Boat lockers available for rental.

H23 EZULWINI LODGE

Sleeps 8 people. Wheelchair friendly on road level with parking bay. Two

double master suites with aircon and showers en suite. Separate guest wing

with double room and twin room and bath/shower room attached. Ceiling

fans throughout. Open plan living room, dining room and fully equipped

kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen: gas hob and electric oven, microwave,

washing machine and tumble drier, large fridge freezer and separate chest

deep freezer.Full flatscreen TV HD with DSTV with card provided and DVD

player. Gas BBQ on partially covered sundeck. Daily maid service for cleaning

and laundry. Outdoor shower and hangers for scuba equipment. Sink for

cleaning scuba gear and fish. Boat locker available for hire. 5 star PADI Dive

Shop and restaurant on premises. Gated entry, 24/7 security guards, secure

complex with generators.

H37 NKULULEKO LODGE

Sleeps 8 people. Easy access with ten stairs down to entrance from road level

and parking bay. Double master suite with aircon and bath/shower en suite.

Second master suite with aircon and with twin beds and shower en suite.

Separate guest wing with two twin rooms with ceiling fans and own bath/

shower room attached. Ceiling fans throughout. Open plan living room, dining

room and fully equipped kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen: gas hob and electric

oven, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier, large fridge freezer

and separate chest deep freezer.Full flatscreen TV HD with DSTV with card

Sleeps 10 in total. Short distance on boardwalk from parking

bay. Wheelchair friendly upper level. Thatched accommodation.

Upstairs sleeps 8. One double bedroom and three twin bedrooms with

separate bathroom/shower room and second shower room, central lounge

and open plan fully equipped kitchen with cooker and oven, microwave, large

fridge and deep freezers.. Separate large mezzanine TV lounge / study with

DVD, full DSTV with card. Ceiling fans throughout. Large partially covered

sundeck with outdoor shower, scuba hangers and gas BBQ.

Downstairs sleeps 2. Private flat with double bedroom with separate shower

ensuiteLiving room, DSTV, fully equipped kitchen, and breakfast bar. Ceiling

fans throughout. Own covered deck with outdoor shower and scuba gear

hangers. Daily maid service for cleaning and laundry.
