Our B&B is beautifully tucked away in the greenery of the Mhlangeni River and is an integrated part of the exciting holiday atmosphere of the South Coast.

We have a splendid view of the St Michael-on-Sea lagoon, breakers and Indian Ocean. We offer tranquility and a peaceful atmosphere with homely comforts.

Facilities at the Mhlangeni Lodge:

The lodge offers 6 spacious bedrooms and is 3-Star graded by the National Accommodation Association. All rooms have en-suite bathroom, TV, Mnet, tea and coffee making facility, fridge, safe and ceiling fans. Some with private balcony and sea facing.

For the extended family a cozy, three bedroom cottage is available or you may book the large family room. Both units have a private entrance.

The romantic Honeymoon suite has its own balcony and a glamorous bathroom; this spacious suite will exceed your expectations!

All rooms are serviced daily. Linen, towels and standard toiletries are provided.

Go to the St Michaels swimming beach or relax at our sparkling swimming pool. Watch the multitude of birdlife, meet the Samango monkeys or walk our grounds to the Mhlangeni River. Plenty of space for all kinds of outdoor enjoyment suited for young and old.

Enjoy a great choice of breakfast while looking at the unspoilt view of the St Michael-on-Sea lagoon and the breakers of the Indian Ocean.

Our guesthouse is the ideal base for the commercial traveler. Mhlangeni Lodge B&B is positioned centrally between Port Shepstone and Port Edward (Wild Coast Sun). There is easy access to the N2 highway.

During the "low seasons", Group booking specials are on offer for parties of minimum of 6 persons.

Our region is blessed with subtropical forests and sun drenched beaches.

Enjoy the day at one of the beautiful beaches on the Hibiscus Coast or go to St Michael-on-Sea swimming beach, a mere 1km away from the Lodge.

Take a drive and enjoy the spectacular farmlands and breathtaking rural areas. Play golf at one of the many golfing estates, or practice your bowls at one of the nearby clubs. Alternatively join the festive annual sardine run.

For the more adventurous, the region offers among other activities: deep sea fishing, diving, whale and dolphin watching, birding, mountain biking and horse riding.

Visit the Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve or try your luck at the Wild Coast Sun (35 min drive). Follow one of the trails in the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve or go and see the sand dunes in Mpenjati, a nearby small scenic coastal reserve.

For the "Shoppers"; there is the most popular Shelly Centre, just 2km away from the lodge. Alternatively visit one of the many local artists and craft markets.

Uvongo (2km), Margate and Ramsgate, just 5 km away, offer a choice of many shops, restaurants and night life.
