The renowned Thendele camp that is nestled in one of the most delightful backdrops in South Africa, with the Amphitheater seen from all the chalets. This striking camp has the peculiarity of being the closest of the KZN Wildlife Berg camps to the key Drakensberg escarpment. Thendele camp has 26 comfy self-sufficient chalets that sleep either two or four people each, two charming 6-bed cottages and the lavish Thendele Lodge with 3 en-suite bedrooms and a complete array of amenities.
Camping at The Royal Natal National Park is highly recommended as it has two popular camping grounds. It is situated nearby a curio shop that supplies provisions and alcoholic beverages for the convenience of the guests.
Mahai Campground provides sites for 400 campers and caravaner's, ideally situated with 120 large campsites snugly located along the Mahai River with exquisite mountains views in its horizon.
Most of the sites have electric plug points and barbeque facilities; however the non-electrified area share barbecue stands. Mahai campsites are equipped with hot baths, showers, flush toilets, dish washing facilities as well as laundry machines
The more undisclosed Rugged Glen campsites consist of twenty campsites with shared cold water taps and can accommodate 45 guests. Stables are featured at Rugged Glen and game viewing on horseback can be arranged from here.
