Nestling deep in the heart of the Southern Drakensberg region of the Eastern Cape, directly adjacent to the historic village of Rhodes, lies the Kinmel Mountain Retreat, Guest farm and lodge.
The old sheep shearing barn has been converted into modern luxurious chalets, which between them can accommodate 16 - 20 guests. Either on a self-catering or catered basis.

Kinmel Mountain Retreat provides the perfect gateway to the Tiffendell ski resort, a mere 30 min drive away. Wild rainbow trout abound in our waters making it a fly-fishermans paradise.
The area were once home to South Africas first people, the San, as is evidenced by the plethora of rock art found throughout these mountains.
During December - February our alpine wild flowers are truly beautiful. Bird watching is high on many visitors lists.
In addition the area boasts with the highest mountain pass in South Africa, the Naude's nek pass.
