Marula Place

The Zululand climate is perfect: hot summer days and warm sunny winter days. We live on the border of the listed World Heritage Site, the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park, some 3800ha expanse of lake and wetlands. The village we live in is called River View and is adjacent to the Umfolozi River and Mtubatuba. We are only 25 kilometres from the beach and 20 minutes drive from the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserves.

Accommodation at Marula Place consists of:

All bedrooms are en-suite, have air-conditioning, mosquito protection, television and tea and coffee making facilities. Stay and Sleep in Peace in a 24-hour Protected Environment. The Cottage: The Cottage has it's own entrance, private garden and parking, has TV, is air-conditioned and fully equipped: Kitchen, with fridge, stove, microwave oven, toaster and kettle. Amenities, linen and towels and hair-dryers are provided. The bath room has a bath and shower. The Cottage is serviced daily, so no need to get your hands wet!. The Rooms: All 4 rooms are situated outside the main house, with air-conditioner, bar fridge, amenities, hair-drier and serviced daily. All rooms have access to a tropical garden. Your comfort is our business, so don't be shy to ask should you need anything!

The Guest Lounge comprise of Lounge, Dining Room, Kitchen (if you wish to self-cater), Pub, outside Braai Area and Jacuzzi. The lounge has satellite TV, a Hi Fi System and games at the disposal of guests, so you will never be bored. There is also a swimming pool at your disposal to cool off during the summer months (or winter for the brave - it rarely gets too cold to swim!) Sit around the open fire under the stars and talk about your outings - whether it's the game reserves, world heritage site or adventures you have undertaken.
