Brookdale Health Hydro is set in the quaint village of Nottingham Road in the scenic KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, just 4½ hours’ drive from Johannesburg and 1½ hours’ from Durban.

A tranquil haven of relaxation nestled in forests and farmland, with soothing sounds of a stream meandering through gardens of herbs and flowers, sets the tone for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating sojourn.

At Brookdale relaxation is at the core of de-stressing. Our well-qualified, professional staff deliver a high standard, focussed on restoration and rejuvenation.

Only reputable products from established brands are used in treatments which range from massage, facials, reflexology and body masks, to our signature heavenly twin massage.

Brookdale has become known for delicious and beautifully presented cuisine. Three balanced meals as well as healthy morning and afternoon snacks are served daily.

Cooking demos by our chef assist guests to continue the Brookdale approach to food on their return home. Daily informative talks on coping with stress, nutrition, exercise and supplementation are fitted in between activities and treatments.

The warm and welcoming indoor pool area includes a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and juice bar. The hydro also offers an outdoor pool, labyrinth, fully equipped gym, private mosaic steam room and hydrotherapy baths.

The studio is a therapeutic place to relax your mind and tone your body with relaxation classes, yoga and pilates. Guided walks and aquacise are offered daily. For golf enthusiasts, Gowrie Golf course is adjacent to Brookdale.

BROOKDALE DAY SPA

Our Day Spa in Nottingham Road is separate from the main Hydro and is a popular choice with guests who are pressed for time or are simply looking to escape for the day. The Day Spa is open Monday to Saturday (including public holidays) from 8am to 5pm, providing you with ample opportunity to spend the day, or to enjoy an hour or two of pure bliss. It offers a wonderful chance to catch up with a friend in these busy times. Healthy teas, breakfasts and lunches are available to guests enjoying day treatments.
