Kamberg Camp

Nestled in the southern foothills of the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park is Kamberg Camp, a gorgeous midlands resort surrounded by streams, trout dams and open plains.

There are many scenic self-guided walks as well as three picnic areas.

Kamberg dam is a hot spot for Fly-fishing all year round and for the period of the fly-fishing season in the Mooi River with trophy fishing popular at the nearby Highmoor reserve.

Guests are accompanied by local community guides to the magnificent rock art sanctuary in Game Pass, which has some of the most exceptional examples of rock art in the world. It's better known as the "Rosetta Stone of South African rock art".

Kamberg Camp also hosts an established "San rock art interpretation centre" of international standards, jointly with a take-away facility.

The accommodation at Kamberg camp

Offers an array of chalets of different sizes, one six-bed, one five-bed and five two-bed. For those that require serenity and solitude, the self-catering Stillerus cottage can accommodates eight guests.

The comprehensively renovated five two-bed chalets now boast en-suite bathroom facilities and kitchenettes. For the convenience of our guests, there is also a communal lounge available.
