Zululand Safari Lodge

Zululand Safari Lodge is the larger of the two camps within Ubizane Wildlife Reserve and offers comfortable accommodation. The lodge consists of 20 fully serviced chalets.

Families and conference groups will love the relaxed atmosphere of this traditional African reserve with its dining boma, swimming pool for those sweltering Zululand days, and comfortable thatched rondavels looking up at the sweep of Ubizane Mountain. Full conference facilities are available for groups of up to 60.

Ubizane Wildlife Reserve boasts a variety of game, including white rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, most species of antelope, and over 350 species of birdlife. You can view the game from the comfort of equipped game viewing land rovers, on foot for a more thrilling encounter or on horseback for a wonderfully unique experience. Adjacent to Ubizane Wildlife Reserve is the renowned Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve, the oldest in Africa, where the big-5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard) roam the bush.

Game viewing in open game viewing vehicles is usually reserved for the early mornings and late afternoons when the animals become more active after sheltering in the shade of the bush during the heat of the day.
