Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse is found on 500 acres of spectacular rolling hills and fabulous walking trails. As the farmhouse is situated in the beautiful Drakensberg, the summer temperatures reach up to 30 degrees and there are often dramatic afternoon thunderstorms, and winter time it reaches 25 degrees.

Fresh ingredients are very essential, and it is a great pleasure for him to be able to pick them from the gardens only moments before serving. Richard spends hours looking for imported and local ingredients only of the highest quality, making sure his fresh salmon comes from Norway and genuine Parma hams as well as cheeses come from Italy.

Guests can take part in the many outdoor activities that including walking, fishing, horse riding, horse stud tours, helicopter rides, exploring Sani Pass, finding the Bushman Rock Art, the Midlands Meander is gorgeous and the Crane Rehabilitation Centre is fabulous. There are well stocked trout dams, nature reserves and ample wildlife to enjoy.
