Microlight flights are offered with two different types of aircraft. The Aquilla microlight which is in the weight shift category is the most popular Microlight in South Africa and The Jabiru microlight is an Australian design, this wonderful microlight aircraft is an all-composite fixed-wing, three axis airplane, yet is still classified as a Microlight. Your pilot will talk to you throughout your microlight flight offering a running commentary on the view and piloting of the aircraft. If you are feeling brave the pilot will let you take control! Coming from Durban
Take N3 north until you reach the Hammarsdale/Inchanga off-ramp after descending Key Ridge (the one with the big mast on top). Take this off-ramp, Exit 43 and turn right back over N3, then turn left and proceed towards Inchanga. Follow this road (Comrades route) all the way to the Nagle Dam turn off opposite a service station on the left ( approximately 6.8 km) Turn right and proceed along a wide tarred road. Thor Chemicals will be on your right and the big black Ferralloys smelter away on the left. After approximately 2.6km, Cato Ridge airfield will be on your left hand side.
