Your hosts Jane and Jonathan Chennells welcome you to their relaxing family home, situated 1.5km from Eshowe town centre, offering bed and breakfast accommodation in a private guest wing, or self catering accommodation in a charming cottage and two self catering flatlets, with the option of breakfast. The guest wing comprises a spacious double room with bathroom en-suite, whilst the twin bedded room above has an en-suite shower and private balcony. Both have stunning views of paddocks with Nguni cattle, a farm dam and rolling sugar cane fields. There are tea and coffee making facilities, fans and DSTV in each room.
The cottage has two twin bedded double rooms and a single, with two bathrooms. There is a large airconditioned sitting/dinning room, with T.V and lots of space to hang wet anoraks and dry your muddy boots! There are braai facilities and the kitchen is fully equipped. All rooms have fans. Each spacious flatlet is fully equipped with a microwave and bar fridge, a TV with a separate DSTV decoder, the option of king size / queen size / or twin beds, and en suite showers. There is a private patio, with braai facilities.The beautiful garden is a birder`s paradise, with a tennis court, swimming pool and trampoline for the more energetic. Walkers will enjoy the indigenous forests on the farm. Cycling and fishing on the estate are also permitted.
There are numerous farm animals, and children are most welcome. Sugar farm tours can be arranged. Game reserves are an easy 90 minutes' drive away, whilst good swimming beaches are only 40 minutes away. Eshowe itself has many attractions including Fort Nongqayi Museum Village (comprising Zululand Historical and Misssionary Museums, Vukani Zulu Cultural Museum, and KZN Paper-Makers), the Dlinza Forest Aerial Boardwalk, and numerous sporting facilities such as Eshowe Hills 18 hole golf course, squash and tennis. The Chase is a member of the Zululand Birding Route, Birdlife South Africa, KWABABA, uMlalazi Tourism Association , and NAASA.
