Canefields Country House

Canefields Country House is a gorgeous traditional sugar cane mansion that has been converted into a lovely country hotel. The house is set in tranquil surroundings with rolling hills of the sugar cane estate. Canefields is located off the N2, about 5km outside of Empangeni in Kwazulu Natal.

Canefields Country House houses six fabulous double en-suite bedrooms, each with its own character and furnishings. There are also Garden Cottages available that offer homely comforts, a private atmosphere and en-suite bedrooms. The recently completed accommodation block will allow you to enjoy the same comforts as the other rooms. Each of the rooms have coffee/tea making facilities, telephones, guest amenities, DSTV, air conditioning, linen and towels, ceiling fans, hairdryers on request, laundry service and limited room service.

Canefields Country House offers a variety of scrumptious traditional dishes served in "The Cane Cutters" as well as "The Mill & Rail Tavern". The ladies bar also serves light lunches in a more relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a sundowner in a wonderful setting at the outdoor terrace near the swimming pool.

Empangeni has ample interesting activities, such as golfing, visiting the casino, going on the magnificent nature trails, playing a game of squash and working out at the nearby gym. Guests can enjoy the game out in the wild and take off on some fantastic hiking trails.
