Drakenzicht Self Catering Accommodation

Situated in the Central Drakensberg, 2.5km away from Champagne Sports Resort and approximately 10km away from Champagne Castle Hotel, with a magnificent view of the mountains including Giants Castle, Injasuti, Champagne Castle and Cleft Peak. The cottage overlooks a gorge with a small waterfall, the valley beneath and the panorama of the Central Drakensberg Mountain Peaks.

It has two double bedrooms, each also has a double sleeper couch for children, main en suite - shower, bath, basin and loo. There is a second bathroom. The third bedroom has two single beds. The fourth bedroom is small and is suitable for teenagers as it has bunk beds. It is just off the verandah. The kitchen is modern and fully fitted - stove/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer etc. There is an automatic washing machine. The dining room has a large table and chairs. The lounge has two large leather couches and a log fireplace. There is a TV with a satellite dish, please bring your own smart card to have TV.

There is a lovely entertainment area under a covered verandah, with patio furniture and braai facilities. There are benches dotted around the property from which to admire the views. One can take long walks on the property. This would be described as the perfect retreat in which to enjoy the peace, bird life and views. It is reached by tarred road.

Vusi works on the property during the day and is available on request - speak to him on arrival - from 17h00 in the evenings, should you want him for a daily cleaning service. The house will be cleaned before arrival and the day of departure. If guests require a daily cleaning service they will have to arrange that with Vusi at a fee of R85/day payable in advance or this fee can be deducted from the breakage deposit. Additional cleaning during their stay will include dishes, kitchen floor, and bathrooms. Bed linen and towels will be changed every 3rd day.

Children over 12 years are charged the same as adults. Children younger than 2 years stay free. A refundable breakage fee of R285 is payable with your deposit.
