The Mehloding Chalets can be found in the southern Drakensberg area, in the Ongeluksnek Valley right at the border between Kwazulu Natal, Lesotho and the Eastern Cape. They offer you a unique getaway for backpackers, adventure seekers and family groups. The chalets all serve the purpose of an overnight stopover for visitors who are doing the spectacular Mehloding Adventure Trail.

The Mehloding Chalets has four welcoming chalets that were constructed by the local people using traditional materials and designs. Being rustic yet homely, The Mehloding Chalets provides you with hot showers, flush toilets, separate bedrooms either twin or dormitory style, a boma, communal kitchen and lounge as well as linen and towels.
The Mehloding Chalets offers self catering or catered facilities. Each of the chalets offer magnificent private seclusion and breathtaking views of the rural scenery and the mountains. The chalets are equipped to accommodate 12 guests and has enough permanent staff on hand daily to service them. There are gas cooking facilities available and paraffin lamps provided.
The Mehloding Chalets is the ideal base from where you can explore the local area, take up some hiking, go horse riding (only the Masakala chalets), mountain biking or you could simply relax in the marvelous scenery. Hikers and nature lovers can enjoy the rock art and wonderful waterfalls.
