Lake Scotia is a 22 acre lake which offers an exceptional fishing experience and has been developed for your ultimate outdoor experience. This Self-Catering Rustic Rock Lodge and a Log Cabin offers accommodation on the lakeside where you can relax and fish.
Lost in the wilderness, Lake Scotia is located in a beautiful mountainous area between Kokstad and Cedarville. If you have ever longed for the opportunity to escape from the crowds and the hustle and bustle, then nothing can be more remote and tranquil than Lake Scotia.
The accommodation has been built using materials from the farm which makes them not only very environmentally friendly but enhances the natural landscape. The accommodation consists of a Rustic Thatched Rock Lodge, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and kitchen that can sleep up to 10 people. The lounge offers a spacious communal area which is perfect for relaxation and the ideal place to enjoy sundowner drinks and to discuss the day’s activities. The kitchen is fully equipped, with hot and cold water and a wonderful open fire in the lounge will keep you warm at night.
The Rustic Log Cabin has 1 bedroom, 1 sleeper couch, 1 bathroom, kitchen\living area and sundeck and can sleep up to 3 people. Again the kitchen is fully equipped, with hot and cold water and a wood burning fireplace in the lounge will keep you warm at night.
The Lake Scotia experience also offers many other activities including the great thrill of a 4x4 mountain trail and the opportunity of enjoying horse-riding in a rugged and exhilarating environment. Spend your days fly fishing for Rainbow Trout while enjoying the natural abundant flora and fauna.
Part of a working mountain farm Lake Scotia offers you the opportunity to feed lambs and work with the cattle. As we are an operational farm, Lake Scotia has a "No Pets" policy which we believe is in the interest of all our guests.
