Botha's Hill
Bothas Hill is a san appealing suburbs situated in the Upper Highway area approximately 30km from Durban KwaZulu Natal. Waterfall, Hillcrest, Kloof, and Gillitts are also part of Upper Highway area. It shares the same healthy climate reputed to be one of the healthiest in the world. The lush green indigenous forests surrounding the area assure a temperate climate as well as the elevation of approximately 650 meters above sea level and 30km from the warm Indian Ocean. The average summer temperature is 24 degrees Celsius and an annual mean temperature is 18 degrees Celsius.
Bothas Hill is located ideally close to both the Drakensberg mountain range and the sea making it an ideal destination. Activities in the area are abundant. Several sporting facilities such as tennis, squash or golf are accessible to visitors. There are also ample shopping centers’, libraries, sports clubs, churches and medical centre’s in the nearby areas of Upper Highway. The result is that visitors don't have to spend ages driving from one place to another.
The Kranzkloof Nature Reserve boasts affords magnificent views across the well-forested gorge cut by the Molweni River. Most of the reserve's 532 hectares are covered by dense forest. This is a perfect spot for a picnic and is neighboring to a dam at the head of the Kloof Falls. Artists and crafters will enjoy the route through the Valley of a Thousand Hills. The 1000 Hills Experience Route feature Zulu Cultural villages and eye-catching mountain vistas. The route is a fascinating tourist experience.
