Bluff
Bluff is an up market suburb located just south of Durban in the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal. It is less than 15km from Durban International Airport, and only 15 kms from the CBD. Getting to the Bluff is easy, just get onto the M4 highway south and drive for approximately seven 7km until you get to the Edwin Swales Drive turn off. Drive down Edwin Swales Drive for about another 3km passing the BP petrol station, Makro and Fat Boyz night club. Keep left and proceed into Bluff road.
The Bluff has two great swimming beaches, Ansteys Beach and Brighton Beach. Ansteys Beach is the safer beach to swim at with fewer rocks. Surfing is very popular at both beaches - be sure to check out the reef break at Cave Rock. Cave rock can produce some of the best waves in Durban, but be careful; it can get quite risky at times. Play a round of golf at the Bluff National Golf Club situated in the valley between the dunes. Go hiking in the Treasure Beach Nature Reserve or take a swim in the warm Indian Ocean, the Bluff is an ideal holiday destination.
