Family Adventures is a family oriented adventure company specializing in weekend ATV and dirtbike getaways for the whole family, both locally and across our borders.

We find stunning venues all over the place and tailor make fun weekends and holidays for you and your family.

We spend our time exploring SA - our experienced team recce and mark the route prior to your arrival to ensure that you have a great, safe, well organised experience, with terrain that varies from advanced for the technical fundi's to routes suitable for the kids.

We will take you to places that you never knew existed while keeping the family rider and budget in mind.

We have partnered with Polaris and Netcare 911 - they send along a qualified paramedic to every ride.

We stay in the beautiful town of Fouriesburg, on the SA side, only 3.5 hours from JHB.

We sort all meals and accommodation for the weekend. Ride the whole day on Saturday , short ride on the SA side on Sunday. Passports compulsory...

We have found new routes from the Fouriesburg border, so for this year, there is no need to tow the bikes and quads into Lesotho - which means that the ladies who do not ride are free to go and explore nearby Clarens and Ficksburg. Gents, hide your credit cards...

We have booked the whole town of Fouriesburg for this ride. The B&B's are all comfy and warm. The food is fantastic. The showers are hot. Arrive on Friday afternoon. We have riders briefing and dinner in the town hall on Friday evening. On Saturday, we all meet at a central point, where we will ride across the border for a glorious route through rivers and up and down the mountains. This is a family ride, but we will make sure that there are a few lekker technical sections thrown in for the manne. Probably about 150 odd kms for the day, with a halfway stop for lunch in the mountains. We will be distributing seeds, donated by Mayfords into the community. On Sunday, we have a new route planned, so if you are keen on a second ride, you can join us for a quick 50 kay circular loop before packing up and heading for home.

Family Adventures is not only about having a good time. Our riders dig deep to help the needy.

On every ride, we try to find out what the local communities need and we try to assist: here are some examples.

We have donated in excess of R50.000 to the local old age home.

We donated school text books and readers into the local community.

We donated more than 50 soccer balls into the community, along with easter eggs and literally hundreds of shirts, shorts, longs etc.

In Balfour: We go once a year and donate Christmas presents to the handicapped. Last year was the first time in 15 years that they got to enjoy a proper Christmas. With assistance from the local farmers, we plan to make this our annual year end event.

We donate clothing and blankets to the communities who open their lands to us.

The big one, raising funds for the Quad Para association of SA. This event has grown tremendously. Our riders have raised almost two million rand over the last three years.

All of the communities that we ride through benefit, either through cash payments or donations ranging from wheelchairs, to clothing, books, soccer balls and foodstuffs donated by Spar in JHB.

It's a huge fun filled ride with more than one beneficiary.
